Redware Cookpot Foot

(17th Century)

One redware foot/base sherd from a three-legged pipkin or cookpot. The foot has heavy wear along the edge. There are small splotches of colorless glaze on two surfaces of the foot, but much of it is unglazed. The vessel is likely Dutch or American in origin. Possibly a "kookpot/grape" and manufactured locally.
