Underglaze Painted Chinese Porcelain Teacup

Very fine-bodied Chinese-export porcelain handle-less teacup with dark blue underglaze painted floral and thistle motif on the exterior body. The style and decoration color is unusual for porcelain and is more typical of pearlware. Teacup has a very narrow footring with no glaze on the bottom. Sloppily painted spearhead border on interior rim. The rim is slightly flared and measures 3.25 inches in diameter. The body is lightly discolored from the privy. Consists of twelve mended sherds.
