One heavily burnt shell edged creamware plate consisting of eight mended base, body and rim sherds. The color of the shell edge is unknown due to burnt exterior, but appears black or brown in color and painted over the glaze. The base has a small, rounded footring with obvious use wear. There is visible usewear on the face of the plate and a possible manufacturing defect on the edge.
