Redware Lower Delaware Valley Style Rim Sherd

Wavy line colored green and two straight yellow lines. Tag from exhibit display reads: "11. Red earthenware pan rim decorated with slip lines. Pans were used for cooking puddings (especially Indian pudding, a mixture of corn meal, molasses, and spices) or other baked foods. Made in the Philadelphia region or possibly in New York City by a potter trained in the Lower Delaware Valley tradition. Ca. 1750-1825"
