Painted Tin-Glazed Earthenware Tile Sherd

(1600 - 1800)

One large tin glazed refined earthenware tile corner sherd with a buff paste and a thick white glaze. The tile has an oxhead/foliate corner design with double concentric circles around the central motif. The central motif consists of an indeterminate scene with a fence. The tile has a large amount of mortar attached on the opposite surface.
