Underglaze Painted Chinese Porcelain Bowl Body/Rim Sherd

Six body and rim sherds from a late seventeenth or early eighteenth-century Chinese export porcelain bowl. The exterior is decorated geometric pattern along the rim with underglaze painted alternating thick circles between two dots in dark blue. There are two light blue painted lines beneath this decoration and an additional painted decoration on the body with an unknown pattern. The body appears to have been burned or is possibly just poor quality. This type of decoration was very common in Southeast Asia and was traded by the Dutch in Europe. Consists of two sherds that are mended/glued, one sherd that mends but is not glued and three sherds that do not mend but are from the same vessel. This vessel is cross-mended between contexts.
