Gilded and Overglaze Enamel Painted Chinese Porcelain Saucer

Approximately half of a large Chinese-export porcelain saucer with intricately red painted enamel and gold gilt decoration. The motif is a petaled design, possibly chrysanthemum, with the center of the flower residing in the middle of the face of the saucer and the petals extending in layers towards the rim. There are additional floral designs scattered throughout the saucer that are outlined and highlighted in gilt. The rim is a brown dressed rim and measures to 6.5 inches in diameter. The footring is a slightly curved wedge and is yellowed and unglazed. The enameling is worn away on a few of the sherds. Consists of eleven mended sherds and seven sherds that mend but are not mended to vessel. There are at least two matching teacups in the same context.
