Lightly stained shell edged pearlware rim sherd with underglaze painted blue shell edge decoration on interior only. Sherd is fairly straight-sided and is possibly a rim from a cup, ladle, salt, pickle dish or possibly a small dish from an epergne. The shell edged decoration is painted only and is not impressed or scalloped. Rim measures to approximately 3.5 inches in diameter and flares out slightly.
