Molded Creamware Base/Body Sherd

(1762 - 1820)

One mended pedestaled foot, likely from a large molded creamware bowl. The sherds are thick bodied and heavily burnt. A similar form was identified as a salad bowl (Tableware #41) in The Whitehead Catalogue 1798. The complete vessel would have been 8 to 10 inches in diameter. The foot measures to 9 inches in diameter and has heavy wear along the edge of the foot. Consists of two mended sherds. The sherds are most likely fragments from a vessel in the neighboring context.
