One irregularly circular lead token or jetton with a 2.6 cm. diameter and 0.6 cm. width. Its weight is 28.2 grams. There are faint traces of markings on both faces, although conservation and cleaning must be done to clearly see them. Possible decorations vary widely and may include groups of lines, initials, dates, anchors, swords, fleur-de-lis, castles, coats of arms, wine bottles and glasses, tobacco pipes, horsemen, stags, and other animals. The purpose of these lead tokens is not clearly understood, but some researchers believe they have been associated with certain businesses and exchanged for goods and services.
