One fragment of a partial smoking pipe bowl and circular heel made of white ball clay. The heel is marked with a crowned DV or VD as well as two quality control dots; one on either side of the heel. The bore hole diameter is 6/64 inches. There are red iron stains covering the bowl and the interior surface is heavily blackened. DV pipes were manufactured in Gouda (Netherlands) by a maker named Dirck Volckertsz between 1648-1670.
