One silver United States three-cent coin dated 1852. The coin is stamped with a six-sided star on one side with a shield in the center, and a large "C" encircling the roman-numeral "III" on the other. The C is stamped with diamond lozenges and small circles and thirteen stars encircle the "C" around the outer edge of the coin. Mostly likely minted in Philadelphia of 75% silver and 25% copper.
