Combed North Midlands/Staffordshire-Type Slipware Body Sherd

One buff-bodied North Midlands/Staffordshire-Type Slipware hollowware body sherd coated on both surfaces with a white slip that appears yellow under a lead glaze. The exterior is decorated with a combed design with oxide powdered lines. The red slip used for this decoration appears brown under the glaze. Sherd possibly from a cup or mug.
