Engine-Turned Salt-Glazed Stoneware Body Sherds

Two gray-bodied salt-glazed stoneware body sherds from bowl, jug, chamber pot, or similar hollowware vessel. The exterior body has impressed or engine-turned decorating in a repetitive basket-like pattern and one sherd has two engine-turned incised lines around the body. There are visible turn rings on the interior. The sherds do not mend but are likely from the same vessel.
