One redware body sherd from an unidentifiable hollowware vessel with a lead glaze on both the interior and exterior. The glaze is thick and vitrified and bears some resemblance to manganese slip. This sherd shows evidence of burning, which might suggest a kitchen stove-related mishap or perhaps that it belonged to a vessel that was a causality of NYC's Great Fire of 1835. The Pearl Street Hotel did sustain fire damage at that time and was rebuilt afterwards.
