Underglaze Painted Chinese Porcelain Teacup Base Sherd

(18th Century)

One Chinese-export porcelain base sherd from a teacup. The base has a tall footring with a small diameter. The interior base has a blue underglaze painted concentric circle with a dark blue pseudo maker's mark within the footring. The interior of the base has blue underglaze painted decoration in an indeterminate pattern. The body of the teacup is rather thick.
