One rim and partial handle sherd from a substantial redware cookpot. The handle top rises above the rim surface. The body is bright orange/red and very sandy textured. Both the interior and exterior are covered with a green/ginger colored lead glaze. The glaze is missing along the edge of the rim and the top part of the handle. The vessel is likely Dutch or American in origin. Possibly a "kookpotten" or "kookpot/grape" and manufactured locally.
