Creamware Body Sherd

(ca. 1790 - ca. 1820)

One creamware body sherd, likely from a flatware vessel. There is an impressed manufacturer's mark on one side associating this creamware with David Dunderdale & Co.: D.D. & Co. Castleford Pottery. David Dunderdale & Co. was a pottery in Castleford, Yorkshire ca. 1790-1820. It manufactured earthenwares, creamwares, and Jasper-type stonewares. The Pottery subsequently worked by many different firms, including T. Nicholson & Co.
