Two thirds of a European style cylindrical tankard made of Chinese porcelain. Four narrow strap handle attachments are visible with blue underglaze painted sprigged floral finials. These decorated handles are reminiscent of late 18th- and early 19th-century European vessels. A separate handle sherd mends with the tankard but is not joined. The exterior rim is decorated with a blue Nanking style shaded trellis band that is 9/16 inches wide. Below this band is a thin spearhead border, also painted in blue. The base is unglazed. The tankard is 5 1/4 inches tall with a base diameter of 4 1/8 inches. Consists of 15 mended sherds and 1 associated sherd.
