One pearlware chamber pot rim sherd. The rim is everted with a marley width of approximately 1/2 inch. There is some discoloration on the glaze and paste, which may be from burning or a privy. Mends but is not joined with sherd 256.158. May also be part of the same vessel as sherd 256.149. The interior rim diameter of the vessel is 7 inches, and the exterior diameter is 8 inches. Possibly burned during the Great Fire of 1835 in New York City.
