Gilded and Underglaze Painted Chinese Porcelain Body Sherd

(ca. 1785)

One Chinese porcelain body sherd. The interior surface is decorated with a blue painted underglaze decoration consisting of fish roe, flowers, and bands of lines. There also is a thin line of gilding over the glaze. Likely part of shallow bowl or saucer. May be part of the same vessel as sherds 256.176, 256.138, 256.99, and 256.41.
