Creamware Bowl

(18th Century, post-1762)

One creamware rim, body, and base sherd, which comprises a small bowl with a broken off, large 18th century style foot ring. The height of the bowl is 2 5/8 inches, the base diameter is 3 3/8 inches, and the rim diameter is approximately 6 inches. The rim of the bowl is plain and straight. Sherd 230.3 is mended with sherds 230.2 and 230.1. There is some discoloration on the glaze and paste, which may be from burning or a privy. Possibly burned during the Great Fire of 1835 in New York City.
