Coin minted by the Dutch Batavian Republic (1795-1806) for use in its Indonesian colonies between 1800-1806 following the dissolution of the Dutch East India Company. This coin is a guilder worth 5 1/16ths.
The lettering around the edges of the back of the coin read "VIGILATE ET ORATE", which means "watch and pray" in Latin. The interior features the arms of the Crown States of the Netherlands, which is a lion rampant.
The front of the coin says "INDIAE BATAV 1805".
