Painted Dutch Majolica Bowl Rim Sherd

(1625 - 1675)

One large Dutch majolica rim sherd with a light buff body and traces of a colorless lead glaze on its exterior surface. The interior is coated with a white tin glaze with large-scale blue and orange painted floral decoration. The body is sloped and the rim is everted. The sherd is likely from a hollowware vessel such as a large bowl.
