Rouletted LE Smoking Pipe Stem and Bowl Rim

(1661 - 1689)

One smoking pipe stem fragment with approximately half of the bowl and rim intact. The bowl has a plain rim and a slightly off-center and crudely stamped "LE" facing the smoker. The stem has bands of square rouletting and Bristol Diamonds. Within the rouletted Bristol Diamonds, the initials LE appear again. The rim has smoking stains along the interior. The pipe is likely from manufacturer Lewellyn Evans (1661-1689).
