One very vitrified stoneware body sherd, most likely from a shallow serving bowl or dish. The vessel appears salt glazed but could also possibly be glazed with salt-like impurities appearing from the body. The body color is varying degrees of gray and brown in color. The interior is decorated with a large and neatly executed cobalt blue swirl. The exterior appears dry-bodied or salt glazed with obvious impurities or damage from the firing process. Possibly a Westerwald/Rhenish stoneware.
