Salt-Glazed Stoneware Rim and Handle Sherd

One gray bodied salt glazed stoneware rim sherd with a partially intact vertical strap handle attached 0.35 inches below the edge of the rim. The interior is coated with a miscellaneous brown slip and the exterior has a mottled salt glaze. The sherd may be from a small handled crock, a small pitcher or possibly even a large mug. The rim measures to 6 inches in diameter and is fairly thick-bodied.
