Lead Glazed Redware Cookpot Foot

(17th Century)

One redware foot/base sherd from a three-legged pipkin or cookpot with a colorless lead glaze on both the interior and exterior. The foot has heavy wear and portions of the glaze have been worn away. The interior also has obvious signs of usewear. The vessel is likely Dutch or American in origin. Possibly a "kookpot/grape" and manufactured locally.
