One mended pearlware platter comprised of base, body, and rim sherds. The rim is scalloped and decorated with a green underglaze painted Rococo-inspired molded shell edge on the interior surface. There is a J.W maker's mark on the exterior surface of the base, possibly affiliating this vessel with the Staffordshire firms of James Warren, Longton (ca. 1841-53) or John Walley, Burslem (ca. 1850-1867). However, many other firms also used these initials during earlier and later periods. The rim diameter is approximately 25 cm.
