Painted Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jug Body Sherd with Handle

One mended, gray bodied salt glazed stoneware body sherd with a handle. Likely part of a large jug. The glaze is missing from several areas of the exterior surface. The interior is unglazed and varies in color from gray to red, possibly due to the adherence of rust. There is a cobalt (blue) painted curvilinear design on the exterior surface around the base of the handle and on the shoulder. The handle is thick and embellished with raised bands.
