Underglaze Painted Pearlware Punch Bowl

(1795 - 1815)

One large pearlware punch bowl consisting of seventy-one mended rim, body, base, and footring sherds. The interior and exterior surfaces are decorated with various polychrome underglaze painted designs featuring flowers, leaves, and geometric shapes. There is a single brown line below the exterior rim and a hatched yellow band between two brown lines along the interior rim. The decoration colors primarily consist of yellow, brown, green, blue, and orange. In the center of the exterior surface of the base, there is a brown painter's mark. This is an example of pearlware design #80. Additional base, body, and rim fragments featuring this design are present.
