One circular copper alloy United States 1845 one cent coin with a 2.7 cm. diameter and 0.2 cm. width. Its weight is 10.0 grams. There are markings on both faces of the coin. One side features Lady Liberty facing left with braided hair and thin features, the year "1845," and a circular border consisting of 13 evenly spaced stars. The other face is decorated with the value "ONE/CENT" surrounded by an ivy border and the words "United States of America." This general design was issued, with minor variations, from ca. 1808-1857.
