Painted Dutch Majolica Base and Body Sherd

One Dutch majolica base and body sherd from a bowl, platter, or charger plate. The sherd has a very large foot ring base that is 3/4 inches wide and of a typical squat. The interior surface is coated with a white tin glaze and decorated with a painted cobalt (blue) design. The bottom surface of the base has remnants of a clear lead glaze.
