This context (Catalog# 956: Lot 13, Test Cut W, Stratum Shoveled Out) consists of one deposit of clay packed/surrounding the exterior of the wooden box feature in the southern portion of Lot 13. This stratum was located between the wooden box feature and the southeast and eastern walls of the pit. It consisted of clay and bits of decayed leather.

Collection method
This level was excavated using a shovel and trowel. The stratum was shoveled out and was not screened but artifacts were still collected.
