Printed Creamware Body Sherds

(c. 1780 - 1820)

Two mended black printed creamware sherds from a flatware vessel. Extant decoration shows the sails and rigging of a ship, likely viewed from behind as it moves to the left. A separate ribbon is seen on the upper portion of the sherd, likely enclosing a cartouche.
