Erasmus High School

Erasmus Academy (now High School) was the earliest school in Flatbush, dating to the 18th century. Archaeological field school excavations in 1987, 1988, 2004 and 2010 exposed the foundations and floor of a 19th century school building under the present high school quadrangle, as well as earlier artifacts. The NYC Archaeological Repository has field notebooks related to this work. There is no corresponding archaeological collection.
