We are pleased to announce that Buried Beneath the City: An Archaeological History of New York is now out! This illustrated book uses urban archaeology to retell the history of New York, from the deeper layers of the past to the topsoil of recent events and draws upon stories from the NYC Archaeological Repository.  It was co-written by Nan Rothschild, and archaeologists from the LPC (Amanda Sutphin, Arthur Bankoff, and Jessica Striebel MacLean) and published by Columbia University Press. It is available for sale at area book stores and on-line.
