Gilded and Painted Tin-Glazed Earthenware Body Sherd

(17th to Early 19th Centuries)

One small tin-glazed earthenware body sherd with blue painted and gilded decoration on one surface. Because this sherd is so small and does not contain all of the paste or the finished bottom side (the decorated portion was sheared off), it is difficult to conclusively identify what kind of ceramic object it came from.
