Stoneware Crucible Body Sherds

Twenty-three ceramic body sherds from multiple Hessian crucibles of various sizes. The crucible sherds are likely made of a crude stoneware with a coarse, buff paste. The fragments appear to be from unused crucibles and are likely from vessels with triangular-shaped mouths. The sherds have a dark reddish wash or coloring on the exterior. A few sherds mend but more than one vessel is represented.
