Lot 9, Test Cut I, Upper Landfill: Yellow Green Sandy Silt with Yellow Mottling (Stratum 4) (624.186)

Test Cut I was placed in Lot 9 as part of the landfill sampling plan. It was the northernmost test cut excavated during the first phase of the project and began at the level of the brick basement floor of the most recent building to occupy Lot 9. This specific context was part of a stratum that was mostly consistent with a 17th century deposition and was likely either part of the topmost strata of 17th century landfill or deposited subsequent to the initial landfill deposition.
