New York City College of Technology, Brooklyn, NY (2014)

A truncated privy was excavated that contained mid-19th century artifacts that may be linked to individuals who lived in 84 Tillary in the 1850s and early 1860s including Mrs. Robert McEwen.  The site is also associated with Dr. Francis Tumblety, an infamous fraud who was one of many men suspected to have been "Jack the Ripper." The collection is within the NYC Archaeological Repository. Please click here to see the Phase 1B/2 Archaeological Investigation for the NYC College of Technology Academic Building Site
